Kitten: A small homicidal muffin on legs; affects human sensibilities to the point of endowing the most wanton and ruthless acts of destruction with near mythical overtones of cuteness. Not recommended for beginners. Get at least two.

Mutt (aka Nubbins)

Black DSM, has a nubby tail.
M
Chance

He’s a one and only kind of guy. A cuddlier, Laid back & easy going and oh, sooo sweet natured. He’s guaranteed to win your heart. Chase and Chance are brothers and they have never been apart more than sleeping in different rooms within the same house. They have been returned because the family is selling their home. The cats are very loving and love to play with each other and anyone that will play with them. They love to lay around or romp, curious about everything and anything from discarded boxes, papers and paper bags. They have always been house cats and do not scratch the furniture. Born July 2006. They love children and get along with other cats, they will tolerate dogs. If interested please call foster home to insure showcase location and times. (510) 790-9256

Prince

Gorgeous Flame Point! Super sweet and affectionate. Likes to give hugs and kisses. Is fine with other cats, but would do best as an only child, since he likes to be the center of attention. Quite frankly, he thinks the world revolves around him and that humans exist solely for his pleasure!
F
Aphrodite

Meow, my name is Aphrodite. I originally came from Nawlins. Got trucked across the great US of A and landed here in the Bay Area. Got me a nice house where I generously let my foster mom and the other cats live. I am quite the catch. I am a beautiful calico as you can see by my picture. I will grace anybody with my purr and allow them to pet me. I also understand that you want to feed me which is why you will enter the kitchen so often :-). My favorite place is the bathroom (if you leave the door open) because you are a captive audience and must pay attention to me. As with most calicos and torties, I have a very dominant personality. While I love living with my foster mom and siblings, I would like a home of my own. Showcase scares me, so I don't come anymore, but my foster is willing to do home visits to see how I adjust. Foster Mom's point of view: Ms. Thang is adorable. She is more like a teenager or roommate than pet. She thinks the world exists for her and the rest of us are "allowed" to live here. She is very expressive and interactive. She also thinks, as she mentioned above, that when the human enters the kitchen, it is to feed her. She does not fib when it comes to the restroom fetish. Always remember to close the door! I love the cali/torti attitude and will never be without one. If I had room, I would keep Dite. She is such a spitfire. Alas, I must let some other family experience the joy, tears, love and grrrness of the calico. For those who have had calis, you know what I am talking about. For those who have had not, you do not know what you are missing.

December

I was supposed to be released, but my foster momma saw my sweet side and wants me to find a "fur-ever" home. I would like to be able to be indoor/outdoor, but have adapted nicely to indoor only. I will engage in conversation occasionally. I love to visit you in the kitchen, you may drop something!

Dog Friendly!

M
Gordo

DSH black kitten

I am such a handsome boy with huge round eyes! I have lost my one white whisker though. I love to play with my foster siblings, including the dog. I also like to play with my foster mom (both human and cat). I was raised by December after my momma got sick. I do like my new role as "big brother" to the new fosters. But, as much fun as they are, I would like my own "fur-ever" home. My human foster mom says that although I am stingy with my kisses, I get you right on the nose. She says these kisses mean alot.

Dog Friendly!

M
Basil

SH Tuxedo. Very affectionate, likes to play with siblings, but prefers his human, will gladly sleep on your lap for hours. He also has a hand fetish where he will lick your hands in utter bliss. You have to hide your hands to get him to stop! It is very comical when he gets in his moods.

Dog Friendly!

M
Quince

Born May 2007. Short hair brown tabby with white chin, chest, feet, and belly. Easy going, loves to romp with his cat buddies. Seeks affection from people in the evenings and early mornings. Does well with small, cat-friendly dogs.
F
Grandma

Beautiful tabby with green eyes. Grandma was a neighborhood stray who took quite a while to catch. We believe she's about 8 years old. Once she was trapped and spayed, we discovered she is a very sweet cat. Rather than release her to the outdoors, we promised to find her a good home. She is dog friendly, other cat friendly, and people friendly. She can be a little nervous at showcases, but she's a great affectionate lady at home.
M
Brownie

Brownie is very affectionate boy. He constantly rubs up against you. He's even a little bit of a talker. But he does not really like to be held much. But we understand. After all, don't you like your feet to be touching the ground too? Brownie gets along with other cats and is good with children.
M
Motto

Buff orange tabby. A friendly, sweet boy. Purrs when you pet him, likes to sleep with you and licks you face to show he loves you.
M
Simba

Simba is a sweet natured beautiful grey and cream tabby with white socks. He has silky soft long hair and loves to cuddle. His favorite spot is next to you on the couch. Simba is also very accepting of other cats and kittens.
M
Tiny

Tiny is a sweet short black male kitty. He was rescued with an eye injury (just a scratch) that is healing very nicely. (In the photo it is still a little cloudy, but he is doing so much better now!) Tiny was quite unhappy being put in a carrier from his home outdoors, so we were worried that he wanted to stay being an outdoor cat. But let me tell you, as soon as he started having free run of the house, he decided he is most definitely a house cat - and not only that, but a bed cat! So we've decided to help Tiny find his forever home with a nice warm bed in it. He is very affectionate, and starts purring as soon as you touch him. He does okay with other cats but would do fine as an only child as well.
F

Groucho

I am a beautiful friendly tuxedo boy. I got lost from my original home, and despite lots of trying to track me through my microchip, no one can find my first mom and dad. So one night I am hungry and lonely and I see this lady's car with a cat logo on it and decide she should help me, so I hopped right on in.
Now it's time for me to go on to my own forever home. Here's what I'm looking for, and you tell me if we're a match:
A nice soft bed.
Good food.
A nice soft couch.
Lots of cuddling.
Nice soft chairs.
Belly rubs.
I do get along with other cats amazingly well. But I'm also very well behaved and can be an only cat if you like.

Barn Cats

Barn Cats can be adopted out free of charge after a home visit and screening. Barn cats are older strays or ferals who have been socialized to a certain degree. They will most likely never be lap kitties, and may prefer to be indoor/outdoor as opposed to indoor only. We are seeking placement for these kitties as we believe they cannot survive in a true feral colony. All cats are spayed/neutered and up to date on shots, FeLV and FIV negative.
