Welcome to Project CATSNIP!
Project CATSNIP is a new project Purrfect Cat Rescue is embarking on in 2008. Our feral cat coordinator recently stumbled upon a colony of feral cats - at least 22 at first count. Our goal is to spay and neuter the entire colony, and then pass management of it on to a permanent caretaker. During this time we will be sharing our experiences, our results, our methods, and giving you, our supporters a look into the world of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).

12/26 Update: We've fixed 9 cats now out of this colony!
1/8 Update: We've TNR'd 13 cats from this colony.
1/14 Update: 19 cats TNR'd in this colony!
1/27 Update: 25 TNR'd in this colony!
2/4 Update: 24 TNR'd, + 3 pulled for adoption! We estimate there are 9 more we have not yet caught. By utilizing other resources for these kitties, we have lowered our financial input to just $900.00
4/17 Update: 36 cats TNR'd from this location!

As we perform TNR on each animal we will post your name (with your permission) as their Speuter or Vaccination Guardian. Your $30 donation will allow us to spay or neuter a feral cat or to vaccinate and flea treat 3 feral cats. *We will contact you to ask how you want your donation allocated. |
