Kween Purrcival is a recent shelter pull by one of our volunteers. Initially categorized as a 16-19 year old with possible renal failure or thyroid, this volunteer took KP on as a personal project to provide supportive care until she passed, rather than allow her to be euthanized at the shelter. She had gone to meet her, and didn't believe this sweet cat with bright eyes, a ready purr and a gravelly voice should die alone in the shelter after possibly being abandoned by her long time family.
A vet check surprisingly revealed that KP is only between 2 and 5 years of age, and suffers from a treatable thyroid condition!

KP passed over to the Rainbow Bridge on June 25th, unable to overcome her thyroid condition and congestive heart failure secondary to the thyroid condition. The final total on the bills are not yet in, however we have spent over $300 so far. We will update the total after the end of the month.

Brownie here had a urinary blockage which can be fatal in male cats. His emergency vet bill totalled over $1000.

Direct Donate:

We can accept donations of any amounts for the care of our cats and the purchase of supplies for them. If you include your address with your donation, we will mail you a receipt for your taxes.

Via our shelter cat program with Science Diet, it costs just $.25/lb to feed our cats and kittens in foster care. When we say even the smallest amounts help, we really mean it!
