Chilly Willy

Hey! We just wanted to update you on our Christmas adoption of Chilly Willy. He is our little sweet man and we love him so much! He adjusted super-fast to life in our house, and he and his older brother are inseparable. We were expecting a shy kitty who needed some time to get used to his surroundings, but not Chilly Willy--it took him about 30 minutes and he owned the place. He's already purchased property in a lovely corner of the house. He nad his brother share a tri-level kitty condo complete with an upstairs deck and private bathroom. Thank you for placing him in our home--we couldn't be more pleased with our adoption. You guys rock!

Karma

I wanted to give you an update on a kitty we adopted from you all in September. Her name was Camry, and she was about two months old when we got her. She settled in really well in our household and is a total love still. She was given her own “puppy” 6 weeks ago, and our 4 month old beagle can’t figure out if he is a cat or a dog, and the two play like litter mates. She purrs constantly, has a love of cooked spaghetti noodles, loves to be held like a baby on her back and have her tummy rubbed. She also plays fetch with the puppy, and they both race to see who can get the toys we throw first. Her new name is Karma (Sometimes she is good Karma, sometimes she is bad Karma).

Zephyr

I just wanted to say hello and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Zephyr (Cinnabon) is a great kitty cat and he just loves living here. He has his favorite spots (such as sleeping on top of the big-screen TV---it’s not soft OR warm up there...go figure!), and is just a great little guy. And you’re right---he just HAS TO see what it is I’m eating or fixing in the kitchen. No matter what he’s doing, he’ll drop everything and rush over to the kitchen to see what’s going on. I’ve been spoiling him lately with little bits of tuna which he just loves. At night he’s very good, and just sleeps on the bed with me and is quiet until the morning. I’m so thankful that you were able to rescue him from certain doom!

Mishka

We adopted one of your kitties on Dec 9 last year. We named him, "Mishka" - Michael the little bear- in Russian. He has quickly adjusted to our household and seems to be enjoying living with us! We enjoy his company, too. He is a mellow, but funny and loving kitty with a big appetite. We are very glad to have adopted him.

Tootsie

From her new home: Just an update on Tootsie! She's doing great and is up to 5.8 lbs now. She's certainly made herself part of the family and the other two cats have accepted her fairly well. She enjoys attacking our toes at night!

Zoe

From her new home: I am just writing to say that she (now named "Zoe") is doing so great. She is so sweet and playful and has totally adjusted to her new house - it definitely took her awhile! She is shy but coming around nicely.

Wishes

From her new home: Well it’s been about 3 ½ months since adopting Wishes and she’s become even more special to me and all who meet her than I ever thought possible. She is 100% part of the family. I often wonder if she is actually part human, part feline and part canine. She wakes me every morning, after about my third snooze button by licking my nose and washing my face with that wonderful sandpaper tongue of hers. I also still get the occasional grooming of my fingers and nails from her. She hates to be left alone and follows me around the house, up and down the stairs, into the kitchen, garage… wherever I go, she goes. She comes to me when I call her and will come to bed at night when it’s time to sleep. She is quite the talker too. Thanks again for bring us together. I’ve been given one of the greatest gifts in my new furever friend

Maggie

Shortly after coming home with us on Sunday, Maggie (formerly Monet) hid under the bed. That night, however, she wanted to explore. She woke me up a few times through the night, but not in a hostile way - she gave me nice face lickings to say hello. Just a day later, she was ready to explore the rest of the house! She is aboslutely adorable, and she's definitely a motor boat! Whenever she sees anyone, whether they're petting her or not, she purrs instantly. She's been a joy to have around, and I'm so happy she's adapting well. She seems to be indifferent about the dogs we have around, though they haven't met yet, and she's eager to become friends with our canary. Thank you so much for your help, she's a doll.
